It’s Not a Birthday Without Sparklers

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

The boy bought me a birthday cupcake and decided that it couldn’t just have a candle in it, no, it had to have 2 sparklers as well!

Now I’m off to have Chinese food and a bottle of sparkling Pinot Noir. Thanks for all the birthday messages (over Facebook, text message, phone and in person) – it’s been a fantabulous day!

Tequila Day

Birthday margaritas FTW!

Had a great time with my Mum, Edmund, Wilber and the boy at Chiquitos. So full of food and tequila that I may have waddled to the car.

We got a bit silly near the end of our visit – Wilber was stating that he was going to sew a communist symbol onto my hat – as the tequila began to show through.

Now it’s time to just chill out at home, watch a film and maybe open a bottle of wine later…

In my magical pile of presents and cards I got lots of money from my generous family members, some cupcake moulds (with socks), a bottle of wine, a strangled bear and a blanket with sleeves…[yeah, I look cool in it *rolls eyes*]

Soon we’re heading into town to mosey around shops, and then it’s margarita time!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Family Christmas

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

Spending the day with my Dad’s side of the family. Wearing a foxy orange vest (a present from my mum) and my new charms.

But James and the boy have gotten bored already and have pulled out their phones.

Game of Thrones…

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

After a yummy Christmas dinner, cooked by the fabulous Elaine and myself, we decided to play Game of Thrones the board game. This is very complicated after wine…

Educating Adam

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Adam, the part time vegetarian, had never heard of pigs in blankets. So he and the boy were put to work in the kitchen…

It Smells Like Christmas

Making cookies for my friends and family (and a fair few for me and the boy). Here’s the various steps taken in my Suzi chocolate chip cookies…

The first few steps look a bit iffy…and suddenly BAM they become cookie dough.
